To achieve this goal, the finite difference method is used to develop a numerical model in order to predict cutting tool’s temperature during ultrasonic assisted turning. First, finite difference method is used to develop a predictive model of cutting tool’s temperature in case of conventional turning and then the analysis results are used in combination with the model developed for ultrasonic assisted turning to predict cutting temperature profiles during this process. Finally, finite difference-based simulation results are validated with experimental measurements of temperatures from ultrasonic assisted turning tests using thermocouple technique. Using the analysis results, the effect of machining and vibrational parameters (cutting speed, feed rate, and vibration amplitude) can be easily studied on ultrasonic assisted turning cutting temperatures. The results show that ultrasonic assisted turning is able to lower the maximum cutting temperature in the cutting tool, about 37%, in low feed rates (≈0.11 mm/ rev), with a vibration amplitude of (≈10 .m) and work velocity of (≈30 m/min).}, keywords = {Ultrasonic assisted turning,Finite Difference Method,Temperature istribution,Thermocouple,Hardened Steel}, title_fa = {مطالعه تجربی و مدلسازی تفاضل محدود توزیع درجه حرارت ابزار برش در فرآیند تراشکاری به کمک ارتعاشات فراصوتی}, abstract_fa = {مقاله حاضر به حل عددی و مطالعه تجربی توزیع درجه حرارت در فرایند تراشکاری متعامد به کمک ارتعاشات فراصوتی اختصاص یافته است. در حل عددی، از روش تفاضل محدود برای پیش بینی توزیع درجه حرارت در ابزار برش استفاده شده و سپس نتایج حل عددی، با مجموعه ای از آزمو نهای تجربی صحه سنجی شده است. برای حصول به این مقصود، ابتدا یک مدل تفاضل محدود پیش بینی درجه حرارت در فرایند برش سنتی توسعه داده شد و سپس از نتایج آن برای ایجاد یک مدل توسعه یافته در فرایند تراشکاری به کمک ارتعاشات فراصوتی، استفاده شد. درنهایت نتایج حل عددی، با نتایج حاصل از آزمو نهای تجربی اندازه گیری درجه حرارت ابزار برش در حین فرآیند تراشکاری به کمک ارتعاشات، صحه گذاری شد. همچنین با استفاده از نتایج حل عددی، اثر متغیرهای ماشین کاری و ارتعاشی شامل سرعت برش، پیشروی و دامنه ارتعاشات بر روی توزیع درجه حرارت ابزار برش موردمطالعه قرار گرفت. بر اساس نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش، در فرایند تراشکاری به کمک ارتعاشات فراصوتی فولاد سخت کاری شده 4140 با سختی 50HRC ، به ازای پیشروی 11 / 0 میلی متر بر دور، سرعت برش 30 متر بر دقیقه و دامنه ارتعاش 10 میکرومتر، حداکثر درجه حرارت ابزار برش نسبت به تراشکاری سنتی 37 درصد کاهش می یابد.}, keywords_fa = {تراشکاری به کمک ارتعاشات فراصوتی,روش تفاضل محدود,توزیع درجه حرارت,ترموکوپل,فولاد سخت‌کاری شده}, url = {https://mej.aut.ac.ir/article_974.html}, eprint = {https://mej.aut.ac.ir/article_974_42e46896f479b9ba9bb6c671d913e3cc.pdf} }
